The 3-Day Babywearing as Care Training
This course focuses on babywearing on the front / early life only, babywearing while breastfeeding, and babywearing as a caregiving tool.
Hip and back carries are not covered in this training.
Personal experience with babywearing is not required to attend the 3-day course.
This module is designed to introduce healthcare professionals to babywearing in early infancy, for both full-term and premature babies. It also covers babywearing for twins, static postpartum carrying, and supporting pregnant women in their babywearing plans.
This course can be considered as a first step before attending the 4-day training, provided that sufficient personal experience with hip and back carries is gained in between.

Evaluation Methods
Evaluation takes place in person, throughout the course. It is based on continuous observation by the trainer during practical and educational scenarios.
Participants are assessed according to specific criteria directly linked to the training’s learning objectives, including:
- Mastery of basic knots
- Knowledge of babywearing tools: slings, structured carriers, etc.
- Ability to adapt babywearing to a child’s physiology and needs
- Mastery of carry positions: front, hip, back
- Ability to adjust tools for specific situations
- Creation and facilitation of a workshop, safety and structure
- Ability to empower the parent
Evaluation is therefore qualitative and personalized, based on observed technical, educational, and relational skills demonstrated by each trainee.
Certification
At the end of the training, each participant will receive a certificate or diploma, issued based on the trainer’s ongoing evaluation.
This certificate attests to the mastery of key babywearing skills, as well as the ability to share them with kindness and professionalism.
